Why This Position Exists
This position exists to process accurate and timely payroll for client organisations and to maintain the records and filings that keep those clients compliant with statutory obligations in their jurisdictions.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Process monthly payroll for an assigned client portfolio, including new joiners, leavers and adjustments.
- Calculate statutory deductions and contributions, and prepare the associated returns.
- Maintain accurate, secure and up-to-date employee records.
- Reconcile payroll control accounts and resolve differences before month-end close.
- Prepare statutory filings and coordinate submission deadlines with local advisers.
- Respond to client and employee payroll queries within agreed service timeframes.
- Maintain a compliance calendar and escalate deadline risks early.
- Support the improvement and documentation of payroll procedures and controls.
What You Will Need
- A relevant qualification in accounting, payroll administration or human-resource administration.
- At least three years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
- Working knowledge of statutory payroll deductions and filing obligations.
- Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to deadlines.
- Absolute discretion in handling confidential employee information.

- Xero Payroll or similar platforms
- Employee self-service systems

- Advanced Excel

- Produces complete, well-supported and review-ready work.
- Raises deadline or data issues early rather than at the point of filing.
- Communicates courteously with employees and client contacts.
