Why This Position Exists
This position exists to produce accurate, timely and review-ready management information for a portfolio of international clients, and to ensure that monthly reporting gives client management a dependable basis for decisions on performance, cash flow and cost control.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Prepare monthly management accounts, variance commentary and supporting schedules for an assigned client portfolio.
- Own the month-end close timetable, including accruals, prepayments, provisions and intercompany entries.
- Complete balance-sheet reconciliations and resolve ageing or unexplained items promptly.
- Prepare cash-flow reporting and support short-term liquidity monitoring.
- Review the work of junior team members and provide constructive technical feedback.
- Respond to client queries on reported figures with clear, well-supported explanations.
- Support audit preparation by assembling schedules, documentation and reconciliations.
- Identify process weaknesses and propose practical improvements to close and reporting routines.
What You Will Need
- A recognised accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA), or final-stage candidacy with relevant experience.
- At least five years of accounting experience, including responsibility for month-end close.
- Demonstrated experience preparing management accounts and reconciliations to review standard.
- Sound working knowledge of accrual accounting and financial reporting principles.
- Clear written English and the confidence to explain figures to non-finance managers.
